Roundglass Foundation Engages Over 10,000 Participants Across 520 Villages in Punjab
Through International Yoga Day Initiative
Punjab, 24 June 2026: Roundglass Foundation brought together more than 10,000 participants across 520 villages in Punjab through a three-day community wellness campaign to mark International Yoga Day 2026, demonstrating the growing role of yoga in promoting healthy ageing and holistic wellbeing.
Aligned with this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” the initiative engaged children, youth, women, families, changemakers, coaches, and senior citizens aged 7 to 75 years through yoga sessions, wellness activities, guided discussions, and community-led engagement programmes.
Conducted from June 19-21, the campaign focused on three pillars of wellbeing—Movement, Breath, and Awareness—encouraging participants to adopt simple, sustainable practices that support physical, mental, and emotional health. The programme was implemented through Roundglass Foundation’s Yoga, Learn Labs, and Sports initiatives across rural communities in Punjab.
The campaign culminated at Bhattian village in Khanna, Ludhiana, where community leaders, wellness practitioners, and changemakers gathered to participate in a Common Yoga Practice session and discussions on the role of yoga in maintaining mobility, emotional resilience, and overall wellbeing as people age.
Speaking on the initiative, Vishal Chowla, Lead, Roundglass Foundation, said, “At Roundglass Foundation, we believe wellbeing is built through consistent daily practices and strong community participation. Through this International Yoga Day initiative, we witnessed people across generations come together to embrace healthier habits and experience the benefits of movement, mindfulness, and connection. The enthusiastic participation from over 520 villages across Punjab reflects the growing awareness around holistic wellbeing and the role yoga can play in supporting healthy ageing and enhancing quality of life.”
A key highlight of the celebration was a collective Wellness Pledge, with participants committing to prioritise their health, maintain a positive mindset, practice kindness, and incorporate yoga into their daily lives. Through initiatives such as these, Roundglass Foundation continues to strengthen its commitment to advancing holistic wellbeing and fostering healthier, more connected communities across Punjab.
