Punjab Flood Relief 2025

From Survival to Revival: Rebuilding Punjab Together

Punjab is facing its most devastating floods in four decades. More than 1.46 million people across 22 districts are affected. Thousands of families are displaced, farmland has been destroyed, and vital infrastructure such as schools and health centers has been washed away.

As waters recede, the challenges will grow—outbreaks of disease, loss of livelihoods, and long-term economic instability. This is a humanitarian and developmental crisis that requires a coordinated, sustained response.

Our Role in a Collective Response

Roundglass Foundation is deeply rooted in Punjab, with an active presence in more than 2,700 villages and access to over 2.5 million people. This reach enables us to act quickly and comprehensively in collaboration with:

  • The Government of Punjab and district administrations
  • Local non-profits and civil society groups working at the village level
  • Celebrities, influencers, and community leaders amplifying awareness and mobilizing resources

Our role is to ensure that immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation efforts are well-coordinated, efficient, and inclusive—so that support reaches every family in need.

Our Punjab Flood Relief and Rehabilitation Framework

Immediate Relief (Ongoing)

  • Distribution of food packets, dry ration kits, milk, and baby food
  • Clean drinking water through tankers, purification tablets, and filters
  • Medical and hygiene kits, including sanitary pads and diapers
  • Temporary shelters with tarpaulins, bedding, and plastic sheets
  • Fodder and veterinary support for livestock

Post-Flood Recovery (First 1–2 Months)

  • Medical camps, vaccination drives, and disease prevention measures
  • Restoration of schools and temporary classrooms
  • Support for farmers with seeds, fertilizers, and agri-input kits
  • Wage and cash support for land restoration and village cleaning
  • Community kitchens in relief centers and schools

Long-Term Rehabilitation (Beyond 2 Months)

  • Reconstruction of homes, schools, and health facilities
  • Strengthening embankments, drainage, and water channels
  • Establishing flood-preparedness committees and early warning systems
  • Skill training and livelihood diversification in tailoring, carpentry, food processing, poultry, and fisheries
  • Promoting crop diversification and sustainable, water-resilient farming

Impact of a Coordinated Effort

By working hand in hand with the state government, non-profits, and local communities, Roundglass Foundation is helping to:

  • Prevent disease outbreaks through medical and sanitation interventions
  • Support farmers in restarting agricultural activity and protecting Punjab's food security
  • Restore safe education and health services in affected districts
  • Provide families with secure housing and resilient community infrastructure
  • Build systems and skills that make villages better prepared for future disasters
