AIM

Reviving Punjab's handicraft to be a source of sustainable livelihood for marginalized.

Today, globalization poses significant challenges to the survival of traditional forms of craftsmanship. In search of livelihood and lack of opportunities, rural artisans have abandoned their traditional crafts and migrated to city fringes; leading to the slow but sure death of the arts and marginalizing skill capabilities, along with many families struggling to make ends meet.

The Crafts Revival initiative is an opportunity to keep Punjab’s rich craft heritage alive, and be a source for the re-learning and re-creating of the craft, that appeal to modern consumers.
